The story starts with Jane in an art supplies shop, checking out pencils and further gear, even going as far as checking if a brush indeed is as straight as an arrow. All the while musing that she must look like a complete freak to people because of her being so anal about it. But being an artist, result is mostly because of 1 procent of inspiration and 99 procent of transpiration and that good materials almost always yields a good result.
A few hours later Jane is seen throwing a the contents of a glass of water into the face of some guy in a diner. She apparently has dated him for a while and is furious to find out that his true reason for dating her is because he wants to divorce his wife and run off with the money, using her as a means to do so. With tears running down her face Jane screams at him that he never cared for her at all. When arriving at her art loft Jane remarks at yet another Asshole ex-boyfriend she can add to her list. With tears still streaming down her face Jane lies down on her bed thinking about how she had planned a hot night with her date and that it's all gone to waste.Deciding to answer to her urges, Jane begins to touch herself when her arm suddenly comes in
As the months pass Jane is putting herself at work on a much grander pace than ever before, Daria Dance Party", welding a structure, chopping away with a chisel as a huge piece of wood, spray painting something and working on a portrait.
The day of the "Tools of the trade" exposition has started and Daria is looking in awe at a twelve foot high Stencil Brush that Jane made using real wood. With enormous paint tubes, pencils and even a twenty feet high palet being on display. Jane turns up beaming with pride, having already sold most of the artworks. Daria agrees with Jane that this is her best exhibit so far although there's one artwork that doesn't quite fit the theme of the exhibit. It being the portrait of the guy she dated. Daria wonders what it has to do with the "Tools of the trade" theme. And Jane Clarifies by telling her that those huge paint brushes aren't the biggest tools on display and that the biggest tool is actually on the portrait.
The drawer of Jane's night cabinet has a couple of interresting contents.
- A Women's care product called "Never" which is a parody on the well known "Allways" brand
- Jane's anal lube is from a brand called "Glueslax"
- There's a set of flying goggles in there.
Jane's art loft was based on her fantasy in College Bored the artworks themselves included statues as well as paintings.
One of the posters on the walls in Jane's art loft says "[James May] for president." which ties in with Wouter's other story "I trust you" where James May's fellow Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond recieved such posters
