Daria: The OAV's
Fanfiction series by Peter Guerin, the last story appearing in 1999. OAV stands for "original animated video." The stories therein were meant to be fanon additions to the Daria show and not an actual alternate universe, so far as can be told, though all stories are pre-Tom Sloane and the "future stories" section diverges significantly from canon. Stories by two other early fanfic writers, C.E. Forman and Danny Bronstein, were also made a part of this particular fanfic continuum, though these were retrofitted and do not constitute a true shared world. Fan art for some of the D:OAVs tales was created by John Berry and Melissa Winters.
Many of the OAV's are crossovers. Unusual aspects of this series include the presence of a (deceased) older sister for Daria and Quinn Morgendorffer, and Daria being sexually assaulted in Highland by Todd Ianuzzi (a young thug often seen on Beavis and Butt-head), resulting in her standoffish behavior and dislike of being touched or hugged. Daria and Trent Lane eventually marry and have children.
