An alternate-universe fan fiction written by Brother Grimace, Movies and Moonflower details the first kiss shared by a college-age Helen Morgendorffer and 'Moonflower' (aka Stacy Rowe) as they attended a showing of the film 2001: A Space Odyssey in the summer of 1968.
The story follows the premise that Stacy, now a doctoral student in advanced theoretical physics, has been involved with a project capable of time travel and, in fact, has managed to transport herself back from an unidentified point in the future to summer 1968 for purposes of study. She spends six days in 1968; during that period of time, she meets the young Helen Barksdale and engages in a short, yet blisteringly passionate relationship.
