So, um, what other stuff should be added here? Disco316 21:56, 12 March 2009 (CDT)

I think some logical additions would be Fanfiction references: How is Trent usually portrayed? What can be said of Daria/Trent ship (which is a HUGE part of fanfiction). --João Paulo Costa 05:11, 13 March 2009 (CDT)

Concerning his personality there are a few theories going around suggesting that the laziness is his facade,(perhaps somewhat like Jake's facade of non-comprehension) and that he actually works hard, aiming to ensure Jane doesn't see the reality of the music world, the recurring failures etc. In some episodes you see him very motivated, including in Jane's Addition where he hastily leaves halfway through making coffee for "a really important audition". The absence of the Lane parents and a steady income could also be used to argue this point, that Trent actually spends his time off-screen working and not just sleeping/lazing around. Regarding the Daria/Trent ship, also in Jane's Addition it could be argued that the ending conversation which ensues between them suggests an unsaid end to the supposed 'romantic' side of their relationship, if you allow what they say to be somewhat molded for the aforementioned context. Speedtrapped-He trusts Daria with his lyrics book, suggesting he places her in high regard. [user MadameSprocket]-1.58am 06/06/09(GMT)

Trent Lane – Ringbearer(??)

This Trent Lane lived on a world suffering an Outbreak when a single Ringbearer arrived. In a weakened state and cut off from sunlight because of this world’s leaders choosing to use nukes. The single Ringbearer used up all the Ring’s stored energy and was facing near certain death when Trent rescued him. For unknown reasons this Ringbearer could no longer go on and passed his ‘First Ring’ on to Trent. Then used his own lifeforce to power the Ring.

Trent then went on to battle the undead but quickly determined that without the sun to fuel it, he couldn’t defeat them. Having little to no knowledge of the Ring an idea occurred to him during a dream. He gathered all the remain one hundred million humans and contained them in a sphere. With the sphere was a near perfect world that allowed the people of his Earth to survive.

After five years another Ringbearer arrived searching for the first Ringbearer. Her name was Alison and she immediately started teaching Trent how to use his Ring. As another Bearer of a ‘First Ring’ she wanted him to not face the same problems she had.

After the arrival of Senior Ringbearers the decision was made to relocate the inhabitants of the sphere and reset his world. Knowing his family was safe he choose to follow Alison off world to serve as a first response team against other Outbreaks on different worlds.

First Ringbearer Elemental Affinity – Water Ring symbol – A wave. (Although the four scratches from the previous owner can still be seen.) Ring inscription – None. Appearance – Last Man, Journey’s Debt

I moved this here because it shows up in the article as if it was canon and doesn't give any references to fanfiction. --Quiverwing 08:09, 14 February 2010 (CST)
