Vlora is a young (though not too young) Australian who found her way into the Daria fandom through a friend. In the past, she has been tied to fandoms such as Kim Possible, Futurama, Harry Potter and even World of Warcraft. She is currently beginning her university course in Games Design and Interactivity, in hopes of becoming an animator/concept artist in any field she can get herself into. In terms of hobbies, she cosplays, she writes, she draws, and she plays games. That is really the extent of her life; it's a sad, but humble existence. She also enjoys reading, though that is very limited to about three books a year. And, as a fun fact, Dita Von Teese is her idol. As is Johnny Depp.
Vlora is an off-and-on writer within the Daria fandom, surfacing in in the earlier months of 2009. Despite her immature approach to life, she likes to think she can actually string a story together. As a result, she takes pride in posting a short story every so often for the sheer laughs. An avid Daria/Everyone shipper, Vlora finds herself mostly associated with the Daria/Trent aspect of the fandom, though does (albeit secretly) dabble in the Daria/Jane and Daria/Tom facets of stories. Her stories consist of fluff, angst, comedy, friendship and then more fluff. Vlora particularly enjoys the dialog in stories, yet writes in a prose style rather than scripted. She is the the delusional writer of Sinspiration (Trent/Daria centric story) and will probably never finish another story of this calibre. The story itself received a nomination in the 6th Daria Fanworks Awards for Favorite Romance - Straight. Along with this story, she has a number of unfulfilled drabbles such as The Longest Night, A Few Years Difference and The Hierarchy with little conclusion in sight.
However, Vlora has also released a series of small one-shots of an unrelated nature. These consist of one notable piece that received two nominations in the 6th Daria Fanworks Awards, The Lane Way, for Favorite Jane Story and Favorite Holiday Story. Recently she produced a one-shot entitled The Beautiful Princess and the Painter, which involved an English assignment written by Quinn (who seemed to be channeling Daria). She has a few other projects under work, but refuses to post them until she actually has their plots worked out.
Surprisingly, Vlora can draw. She started frantically posting during the last few days of 2009, creating various incarnations of gender-bent characters based on her own personal opinion.
While her written works have brought her some attention, her artwork (particularly her works presented at the end of 2009) has brought Vlora into the spotlight of Daria fandom as an artist of note. Her 'reversed-gender' depictions of some of the members of the Daria cast (most notably her images of 'Anna DeMartino' and an all-female Mystik Spiral) have caused a strong upsurge of interest in the artist and her works (both current and future). There has also been a blossoming movement on the PPMB towards seeing Vlora's artistic works nominated for the 6th Daria Fanworks Awards. After receiving 6 nominations in the artist category, including one for Favorite New Artist, Vlora died a little.
In light of the award for Favourite New Artist, Vlora is intending to invest more efforts into final pieces of art. She is also becoming a little more careful with how accurately she can portray the show's style whilst still defining herself. An eye should be kept open for more works from her and her crazy mind as you never know what or who she'll draw next.
